The Kennel Club and Dogs Trust have come together to launch the Puppy Plan; a unique new initiative for dog breeders and owners which aims to give every puppy the very best start in life- to prevent behavioural problems later on.
The Puppy Plan is being launched as a pilot scheme to Kennel Club Assured Breeders who have agreed to follow good breeding practices as set out by the Kennel Club.
Dogs Trust will also be rolling out the Puppy Plan in their rehoming centres.

Scientist’s have discovered the world’s smallest Chameleon.
Researchers have recently discovered a new species of Chameleon and at an incredibly tiny 29 mm (1.1 inches), it is no wonder it’s evaded for so long.
The little reptile, named Brookesia micra has baffled Scientists in how a complex creature can be so small.
The research team discovered the new species on the tiny islet of Nosy Hara, off Madagascar. It is thought that the isolation of their home has allowed dwarfism to survive and a gene pool of micro-meleons to flourish.

The world’s oldest Pet Cemetery has been hit by graverobbers in search of expensive pet collars.
The Pet Cemetary in the Paris suburb of Asnieres-sur-Seine, is home to famous hollywood dog Rin Tin Tin, among 3,000 other pets.

Alasdair is the Assistant Head of Behaviour and Training for the Dogs Trust and has a specialist understanding of collies and rescue dogs. He has taken on and rehabilitated several dogs with severe aggression and other serious behavior problems. His youngest rescue collie is now competing in Working Trials which is renowned to be the most difficult discipline in the dog world.
